About Me

Hello, I’m Sarah, founder of Bucking Belgian Saddle Fitting LLC.

I was born and raised in Belgium, where I lived for 27 years before moving to the United States. As the daughter of two veterinarians, horses and animals were always part of my life, and I’ve been a trail rider since leasing my first pony at 10 years old.

Years later, I worked as a trail guide in Sweden and Florida, spending long days watching different horses carry different riders over many miles

That’s when I really started paying attention to the saddle.

I saw how much could change between horse and rider because of what was between them: Movement, balance, comfort, even behavior. I wanted to understand why and, more importantly, what we could do about it.

That curiosity led me to saddle fitting.

Today, those same questions are at the center of every fitting I do. I don’t just measure the horse and look at the saddle. I assess the horse, saddle, and rider together, both standing and in motion, to understand how the entire combination is working.

Maybe something feels off with your current saddle. Maybe your horse has changed. Or maybe you’re looking for something new and have no idea where to start.

Together, we’ll look at the whole picture and find the best way forward for you and your horse.
